Privacy policy
What personal data we collect, why, and what you can do about it.
1. Who is responsible
The controller of your personal data is Nuno Filipe Carvalho Mendes, sole trader, Rua Albano Martins Coelho Lima 1184, 4835-302 Guimarães, Portugal, contactable at info@weprint3d.com. Postal address and registration details are in the legal notice.
2. What we collect
- Order data: your name, email address, phone number, delivery address, country, and the content of your messages.
- Project data: 3D files, photographs, sketches and descriptions you send so we can produce your model.
- Transaction data: the reference and amount of your bank transfer, as shown to us by our bank. We do not receive or store card numbers.
- Server logs: our host records IP address, browser type and page requested for security and to keep the site running.
We do not ask for special category data, and you should not send it to us.
3. Why we use it, and on what basis
- To quote and fulfil your order — performance of a contract, or steps taken at your request before entering one (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- To keep accounting and tax records — legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
- To keep the website secure and functioning — legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- To show finished work in our gallery or on social media — consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). We ask first, and never publish your name or your files without your agreement.
4. Cookies and tracking
This website sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to a Google server and your IP address is visible to Google for that request. If you prefer to avoid this, the font files can be self-hosted — ask us and we will do it.
5. Who else sees your data
We share only what is necessary, with:
- Hostinger International Ltd. (Cyprus) — website hosting and email.
- Wise — receiving your payment. Wise is the controller of the data you provide to it directly.
- Postal and courier operators — your name and delivery address, so the parcel arrives.
- Messaging providers — if you contact us on WhatsApp (Meta Platforms Ireland) or Telegram (Telegram FZ-LLC), your message and profile details are processed by them under their own terms.
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising.
6. Transfers outside the EEA
Some of the providers above may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, transfers rely on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
7. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become orders: 12 months.
- Order correspondence and delivery records: 3 years after delivery, to handle guarantee claims.
- Invoices and accounting records: 10 years, as required by Portuguese tax law.
- 3D files you supplied: deleted 90 days after delivery unless you ask us to keep them for reprints.
8. Your rights
You may ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, or send it to another provider. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting what we did before. Write to info@weprint3d.com and we will reply within one month.
If you believe we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the supervisory authority. In Portugal this is the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), www.cnpd.pt.
9. Children
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes
If this policy changes, the new version appears here with an updated date. Material changes affecting existing orders are notified by email.
